Welcome to Ronald Richardson Photograhy - Aviation, Landscape and Railway images from around the United Kingdom. I have always been fascinated by flying, my first recollections of aircraft being when my father took me to Turnhouse or Edinburgh Airport during the 1960's. Through time there were subsequent visits to airshows at that airfield, Prestwick and RAF Leuchars, with perhaps my fondest memory being one of the last Battle of Britain At Home Days at RAF Acklington in Northumberland, long since closed! Eventually I learned to fly gliders at the Borders Gliding Club, Milfield in Northumberland. However the challenge of photographing aircraft in their element was never far distant.

The three accompanying photographs were taken on Duns Law in Berwickshire on Friday 8th January 2010. Recent cold weather has allowed opportunities for striking landscape photography although conditions have now abated slightly, leaving grey, overcast skies!

Images are all taken using Canon DSLR cameras including an EOS 1D Mk II, in addition to an EOS 10 and 20D. Lenses by the same manufacturer are also used.
